Scale Down …and don't panic!

A game you’ve already played.

Let's be honest. I had grand plans for this Game Jam: giant fighting robots, epic explosions, and a breathtaking narrative. Like many of you, I had to scale down.

"Scale Down ...and dont panic!" is the Game Jam game where you have to make a game for the Game Jam. Fight against time and setbacks to make the perfect game that will be attention-grabbing and outperform the competition!

Rules:

  • In the left page of the notebook are written the Title and the particular Requirements of the Jam you’re competing for. Keep them in mind: your final points will be attributed based on those Requirements.
  • In the right page, you will write down the Features you want to be in your game. You can add them and remove them, trying to match the Game Jam Requirements or only to make your game just perfect.
  • Every Feature added will give you an amount of points at the end of the challenge, but if a Feature matches one or more Requirements, you will get extra points! So be careful what you spend your team time for.
  • At the right side of the screen, you will find your smartphone. Here you can see your Team, the effort and available hours of every member of it. Every time you add or remove a feature, you will see it change. Don’t worry: if the workload is right, your teammates (almost) never complain.

I hope you will enjoy the game. Feel free to give me your feedback and share your results in the comment section. And remember: scale down ...and don't panic!

I find this way too relatable.

love the concept <3 and play really smooth, well done

Thank you!

That was a really fun wee game! Played it on my MacBook with the web build first, then tried it again on my android phone, both times it was a fun wee challenge juggling the requirements and workload for each specialisation. Lovely aesthetics (both visual and audio) and enjoyable gameplay!

Thank you for playing!

Finally, a GameJam built inside a GameJam which was just the thing we needed xD

The witty writing, beautiful design & gameplay and all the scenarios make this a super fun-to-play game!

Thanks for playing and sharing your result!

Awesome game!!

Thank you for playing!
